 در این مقاله در چارچوب مکتب کینزی جدید، به منظور بررسی آثار اقتصادی بکارگیری سیاست حداقل دستمزد بر متغیرهای اقتصاد کلان،  یک مدل تعادل عمومی پویای تصادفی(DSGE) برای یک  اقتصاد باز و کوچک صادر کننده نفت، متناسب با ساختار اقتصاد ایران در دامنه زمانی1370 لغایت 1395 شبیه‌سازی و برآورد شده است. در مدل فوق چسبندگی¬های اسمی (دستمزد و قیمت) و عادات مصرفی در بخش مصرف کننده در نظر گرفته و به منظور واقعی سازی شرایط اقتصادی کشور، بازار کار به دو بخش نیروی کار ساده و ماهر طبقه‌بندی شده است. هدف اصلی در این مطالعه پاسخ به این سوال است که ‌تعیین وتعدیل حداقل دستمزد سالیانه مبتنی بر مکانیسم شاخص تورم قیمت مصرف‌کننده (CPI) در شرایطی که اقتصاد در معرض تکانه‌های ناشی از عرضه و تقاضای اقتصاد و سیاست‌های پولی و مالی قرار دارد، باعث ایجاد چه واکنش‌هایی بر روی متغیرهای اقتصادکلان شامل تولید ناخالص داخلی، مصرف، تورم (شاخص قیمت مصرف کننده)، اشتغال و دستمزد کل می‌شود. نتایج حاصل از شبیه سازی و برآورد این مدل که حاکی از تطابق گشتاورهای داده‌های شبیه‌سازی شده با داده‌های دنیای واقعی و بر پایه کالیبراسیون است، نشان می‌دهند که  افزایش حداقل دستمزد در اقتصاد می‌تواند ضمن افزایش تورم وسطح دستمزدکل باعث کاهش میزان تولید ناخالص داخلی، مصرف و سرمایه‌گذاری ‌شود .
