Abstract

Abstract In present century the air transportation has had a very important role in relations between different countries of the world ,as exchanging of culture, showing the economical and military power and speeding the vital affairs of a country and in this case airports form a very critical role in the Air Transportation system An airport is the most infrastructural part of the transportation industry in each country. Therefore, recognizing the problems of this sector of the aviation industry is effective on expediting activities related to the transportation of passengers, the development of the flight network, the growth of the physical airport, reduction in air accidents and problems caused by the proximity to residential areas (colliding with residential areas and noise pollution). In this regard, the aim of the present study is to investigate the problems of Mehrabad International Airport as the most important airport for domestic flights from the aerodrome point of view and the flight network based on standard indices of the national aviation industry. Therefore, among the experts of the aviation industry (pilots, officials and personnel working at Mehrabad Airport), 240 individuals were selected as the sample and a researcher made questionnaire was distributed among them. The application of factor analysis model and SPSS and Lisrel software revealed that the most important problems of Mehrabad Airport are proximity to residential areas, causing noise pollution for residents around the airport, adjacent to the military airport, lack of proper distance from other airports, and its role as flight origin for domestic flights in the Iran’s national airline, totally explain 83.79 % of the common variance. Other variables have not been able to justify significant variance.

Abstract

River management, including strategies that effectively have an effect on the behavior. Geomorphological management, is the study of shapes, nature, and origin, processes of emergence, development and use of human and material composition of the Earth.  The assessment of river character and behavior in Stage 1 is based on analysis of the assemblage of geomorphic units (channel and floodplain landforms) along any reach. Arangeh River basin were identified in 1and 3 styles, including: Headwater, Gorge style in confined valley setting, planform controlled, floodplain bed, low sinuosity cobble, low sinuosity gravel, bedrock controlled sand, meandering gravel, unconfined low sinuosity cobble with Side stabilized, partly-confined low sinuosity cobble with Side stabilized, partly confined Asymmetric valley with cobble, , partly confined symmetric valley with cobble  ,Artificial bed.Geomorphic conditions of each of the styles were evaluated in the two stage of river style framework. at this stage of adjustment of Each style is determined to the confusion of peak flow by using criteria such as channel characteristics (size, shape, morphology Bank and plants channels), channel plan form (sinuosity, lateral stability, geomorphic units into the channel and River flood plain and plants) and features bed . Two Style had good geomorphic conditions (floodplain bed bedrock controlled sand, unconfined low sinuosity cobble with Side stabilized) show the potential of a good adjustment, and the reach has a good of potential adjustments are more sensitive to changes . In the fourth stage of rehabilitation is carried out in reach scales, basins and river basin based on forecasts of possible changes in the future and potential of Geomorphic River Recovery. Abstract

The coastal are geographically diverse from important areas for attracting populations and economic activities, especially military ones. Understanding the natural environment's behavior on the coast can help plan and deploy military activities. Therefore, this study evaluates the role of natural factors (climate and geomorphology). For this purpose, the most important variables affecting the location of military activities are selected, and then the data of the weather stations of the region for a period of 30 years to create climate databases and layers of features of the earth's surface including slope, tilt, topography, etc., for The formation of natural databases was selected and organized in the GIS environment. Then, using decision-making methods (AHP, ANP), we evaluated the impact criteria in the locational process. Ultimately, using the Fuzzy Collaborative Model, the final map provided the best places to deploy military equipment and equipment on the coast of the Oman Sea. The results showed that more suitable locations are located in the eastern coastal strip and some western locations. However, scattered locations with the least vulnerability and non-operational basics can be found in the coastal areas in the final map.

Abstract

In this study, we tried to identify the sources of moisture and its direction of heavy rainfall in south and southwest of Iran by using a new algorithm based on atmospheric rivers. For this purpose, daily rainfall of 17 synoptic stations in the period 1986 to 2015 in south and southwestern Iran that have a common time span and fully cover the study area is used. Also from the data set of the National Center for Environmental Prediction / National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCEP / NCAR) European Mid-Term Forecast Center (ECMWF) and ERA-interim data with spatial resolution of 0.75 It was used at 0.75 latitude and longitude with 6 hour resolution. The variables used are integrated water vapor (IWV), specific humidity (q), and orbital and meridional components (u, v). In this research, an algorithm based on the calculation of Vertical Horizontal Vapor Transfer Integral (IVT) is used to identify and navigate atmospheric rivers. The results show that the main source of rainfall moisture is in south and southwestern Iran, south of Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Of course, the maps show that the Arabian Sea was not affected by the humidity. The Arabian Peninsula also, due to the high moisture transfer rate, as a transitional route, transmits a large amount of moisture to the study area. Finally, the path of moisture to the study area was mapped and identified, and thus considering the three main conditions for the atmospheric river, it can be said that the path obtained is the same as the atmospheric river.

Abstract

A review of the history of the Islamic period reveals that concepts such as Islamic values and principles have always been one of the foundations of Islamic cities. This has made the Islamic city a space for the development of other Islamic fundamental concepts and principles. However, with the emergence of modern thinking and the emergence of numerous movements, we have seen that many of these are distorted. considering the historical background, values and factors present, district 20 in Tehran, is of no exception. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to investigate the mechanisms of how each of the factors of the Islamic city influence the perception of the inhabitants of this historical district of Tehran. To achieve this goal, a conceptual model of the research was first developed using the literature as well as the research context in which the three main physical, social and validity dimensions were considered for Islamic urban planning. Subsequently, using a questionnaire survey and its analysis by structural equation modeling, the effect of each of these factors on their indicators was put forth as the research findings. The results of the analysis indicate that the "validity" factors have the most impact on people's perception of the Islamic city, while the "social and civil" and "physical" factors are less influential.

Abstract

It is very matter to study and measure snow covers as one of the important sources of water supply. Due to the hard physical conditions of mountainous environments, there is no possibility of snow measurement. the use of  remote sensing with regard to low costs, up-to-date and extensive coverage in this field can be proven to be a good way to identify in snowflake areas. the main objective of this research is to estimate the surface coverage of Sabalan mountains using satellite images of OLI and TIRS sensors and using the object-oriented classification method. The classification of satellite digital images is one of the most important methods for extracting information, which is currently done with two pixel-based and object-oriented processing methods. The base pixel method is based on the classification of numerical values of images, and the new object-oriented method, which, in addition to numerical values, uses content, Texture, and Background information also in the image classification process. Therefore, in the present study based on the precision of the object-oriented classification, the object-oriented techniques were used to extract the surface of snow cover. In this study, due to the use of high resolution spatial resolution (Landsat 8) and the new method of classification of images, the snow surface was characterized by Normalized Difference Snow Index (NDSI), Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Land Surface Temperature (LST), Brightness with a total accuracy of 91 percent, to 2142.62 square kilometers for the range Sabalan mountains have been extracted and the results can be used as alternatives to snowflake stations.

Abstract

Concerning the importance of urban network studies and the role of hierarchy system in population decentralization in metropolitan areas, this paper by using acknowledged indicators and Grade of Membership (GoM) model and using Combined Analysis method has tried to find the changes in urban hierarchy of Khorasan region during the period 1956-2016. The outcomes show that urban system in Khorasan region as the one in the country was afflicted with inconsequentiality by 1986. However, during the period 1986-2006, the urban network in Khorasan region tended to reach to an equilibrium. Nevertheless, it has gone toward an imbalance during the period 2006-16. The outcomes also depict that the models and indicators did not work coordinated. While some indicators (such as Herfindahl and Entropy indexes) showed that, there were an equilibrium among the urban network in the region, some other (such as Primate City and Centrality indicators) showed increasing centralization and inconsequentiality. Accordingly, the study used “GoM model” and “Combined Analysis method” for the final analysis. The GoM used three variables that aimed to make the model more reliable: The Prime City Indicator, the Centrality Indicator and Equilibrium Indicator. With this methodological novelty, the analysis of the hierarchical patterns represented in the model by the multiple profiles were closer to what could be understood as a "methodological ideal", difficult to be applied empirically due to the complexity of the subject, but included in studies theoretically based. As for future studies, which will seek to understand the hierarchical urban organization of other regions of the country and of the world, these indicators may be incorporated if adapted to the regional reality.

Abstract

Transportation and urban transportation policies are one of the most important tools which can be utilized for the qualitative and quantitative development of cities. Various factors can affect urban transportation systems including natural, economic, social, and cultural factors. the main objective of the current study is to evaluate and assess the resiliency of urban transportation networks in Ilam City, which is carried out using a descriptive-analytical and comparative method. The required information for the current study was obtained using library and field studies. The statistical population of the study included experts in urban management and crisis management, among which 40 participants were selected using convenience-based method and questionnaire was distributed among them. The analysis of the data was carried out using analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and integrated digital layers in Expert Choice and ArcGIS software applications. The results indicate that 49 percent of the transportation networks in Ilam City, which have a high level of resiliency based on the general criteria, are in high danger of flooding. Moreover, 72 percent of the traffic congestion points in Ilam City are located on streets with a high level of resiliency based on the general criteria. Among all the urban roads and streets in Ilam City, only 63 km has high levels of resiliency and these are mostly the main streets of Ilam City. The final results of the study show that improving the urban transportation system of Ilam City not only involves the structural issues of the roads, but it also involves a large number of administrative issues. Therefore, first we have to identify dangerous areas and then try to take the necessary measures through appropriate management decision making in order to improve these urban transportation networks.

Abstract

The diversification of economic activities in rural areas is considered as a strategy where rural households increase their income sources. The villages of Saqez city, despite having high environmental potential and capacity in different sectors, such as agriculture, have a poor livelihood and economic status. Therefore, the present article seeks to answer the following questions: What are the appropriate strategies for diversifying economic activities in the villages of Saqiz? The present study was conducted through descriptive-analytic method. In a survey method, SWOC analysis model and QSPM evaluation matrix, we presented appropriate strategies. To design a strategic model and determine the ranking of factors 20 from experts and also to factor out the factors of 300 villagers in the area. The study sample is selected as sample. The results of the SWOC model show that the existence of an appropriate ecosystem in the region for tourism development, the existence of four climates in the region and the possibility of cultivation in each season, as well as the presence of the leading farmers in the region, are the most important strengths against the weakness of the financial and economic context of many Villagers and traditional exploitation are the most important internal weaknesses for diversifying economic activities in the study area. Also, the results of this model indicate that in the external environment 34 opportunities have been identified, the attention of the authorities to the conversion and complementary industries, the border area and the suitable field for exporting agricultural products to the Iraqi countries, are the most important external opportunities and in contrast to 36 challenges and limitations. The key factors of the migration and exodus of elite educated to Tehran and neighboring provinces, climate change and increasing natural hazards such as floods and droughts are the most important external barriers affecting the diversification of economic activities in the villages of the study area. Also, the results indicate It gives diversification of the activities of the economy The studied villages should be focused on strengths and opportunities.

It is important to examine the effect of the tourist personality on the choice of tourist destination. In the meantime, using Hofstede's cultural model in analyzing the effect of tourist personality dimensions on the intention to visit through the perceived homogeneity variable greatly helps to understand this issue. In this research, the effects of femininity, masculinity, ambiguity, avoidance of individualism and collectivism on the intention to visit have been analyzed. This research is applied in terms of purpose and methodological in addition to descriptive and survey research. In this regard, 384 questionnaires were distributed among tourists from German, Japanese, French, Arab (Iraqi), Italian, Austrian, Chinese nationalities residing in five star hotels in Tehran. Structural equation index was used for data analysis. The results show that tourists prefer brands that match their perception of the destination brand. The findings of the study indicate that the personality dimensions of the tourist intent through the popularity of tourism destinations and the image of tourist destinations influence on the perceived homogeneity of the urban tourism brand and the masculinity of the tourism city brand; Perceived homogeneity of urban tourism brand is effective and femininity of tourism city brand does not affect perceived homogeneity of urban tourism brand. The results of this study indicate that Tehran has a masculine brand and people are selected to be masculine and to be collectivist and ambiguous. In fact, the results of the study showed that in selecting tourism markets for Tehran, one should look for tourism markets that are characteristic of the Hofstede model in terms of masculinity, ambiguity and collectivism, as well as the development of tourism spaces for women.

Abstract

Semi-arid watersheds are sensitive to soil erosion process and suffer considerable losses each year. Morphometric studies are an important method for identifying susceptible erosion zones and are a prerequisite for assessing erosion patterns in watersheds. The semi-arid Kamyaran basin is at risk of soil erosion due to lithological diversity, varied geomorphology, rugged topography and the nature-based livelihoods of its inhabitants and determination of soil erosion potential of this basin is essential for scientific management and sustainable development. The purpose of this study is to prioritize soil erosion potential in the Kamyaran basin. Methodologically, this research is based on WSA and averaging methods based on the calculation and ranking of morphometric parameters. The results showed that according to WSA methods and averaging 53.63% and 75.91% of Kamyaran catchment area, respectively, are located in areas with high soil erosion potential and require protection plans. The WSA method has better performance for prioritizing soil erosion studies due to different morphometric parameters and how to calculate it accurately. Sub-basins located in the northern areas of the Kamyaran Basin have high potential for soil erosion and sub-basins in the southern areas have low soil erosion potential. In general, the amount of soil erosion potential in Kamyaran basins is affected by the lithological and geomorphological conditions of the basins and the parameters related to infiltration have the most influence on the extent of soil erosion potential in the basins.
