پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی اثربخشی تمرینات پایه تکواندو بر کارکردهای اجرایی کودکان با اختلال یادگیری انجام شد. بدین منظور، 20 نفر از کودکان پسر 10 تا 12 سال با اختلال یادگیری در شهر مشهد انتخاب شدند و به‌صورت تصادفی در دو گروه تمرین و کنترل جای‌دهی شدند. گروه تمرین به مدت 12 جلسه، هر جلسه 50 دقیقه و با تکرار سه روز در هفته تمرینات تکواندو را انجام دادند. گروه کنترل نیز در طی این دوره به فعالیت‌های عادی روزمره خودپرداخت. تغییرات در کارکردهای اجرایی آزمودنی‌ها قبل و بعد از دوره تمرین توسط آزمون‌های ان – بک و برج لندن سنجیده شد. جهت تجزیه‌وتحلیل آماری از آزمون تحلیل واریانس با اندازه‌های تکراری استفاده گردید. نتایج پژوهش نشان داد که تمرینات پایه تکواندو موجب بهبود کارکردهای اجرایی در گروه تمرین می‌شود؛ تمامی این تغییرات در مقایسه با گروه کنترل معنادار بود (05/0> p)؛ بنابراین بر اساس نتایج پژوهش حاضر می‌توان نتیجه گرفت که تمرینات پایه تکواندو با تأثیر بر مناطق مغزی مربوط به کارکردهای اجرایی در کودکان با اختلال یادگیری، به بهبود کارکردهای اجرایی این کودکان کمک می‌کند.
