Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between leadership styles (transformational, transactional and non-leadership) of school administrators and commitment of P.E teachers in Hamedan province.
Methodology: The Statistical population consisted of school administrators (N=110) and physical educators (N=200) in Hamedan province. Statistical sample was equal to statistical population in this study (95 administrators, and 164 physical educators). Multifactor leadership questionnaire (MLQ) and Non-leadership. Organizational Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ, Allen and Meyer) was used. Internal validity of the questionnaire was measured and values of 0.76 and 0.78 were gained respectively. For analysis of data, the following statistical methods were used: Kolmogrov- Smirnov, Spearman correlation and Kendal coefficients at level p&le 0/05.
Results: The results indicated that there was a significant relationship between of transformational, and transactional leadership styles and affective, normative and continuance commitment.
Moreover, the highest relationship between transformational and transactional styles was in normative (r=0/48) and continuance commitment (r=0/40). However, there was not significant relationship between non-leadership style and affective, normative and continuance commitment. Administers of schools can use transformational and transactional leadership styles for maintain and increase of organizational commitment.

Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between organizational excellence and organizational commitment (OC) in physical education (P.E.) general offices of Iran's selected provinces. Validity of the questionnaires was verified by the experts and their reliability also calculated in a pilot study (&alpha=0.928 and &alpha=0.83 respectively for EFQM and Allen, Meyer & Smith's OC questionnaires). 437 questionnaires distributed among the Physical Education general offices staff (ten provinces selected by classified random method) 337 questionnaires included in statistical analysis. A positive significant relationship was observed between organizational excellence and commitment (r= 0.546, p= 0.001). A positive relationship was observed between organizational excellence and each of the organizational commitment sub-scales (affective, continuance and normative) (p<0.01). Affective commitment had strongest correlation (r=0.551, p=0.001) and the continuance commitment had the weakest (r=0.309, p=0.001). Also, there was strong significant relationship between stockholders and the results of organizational excellence model (r=0.864, p=0.001). According to results suggest those directors who are going to implement the EFQM excellence model in their organizations, pay attention to their staff’s organizational commitment.

Abstract

In this article, has been tried identifying and prioritizing Effective factors on recruiting volunteers in sport for all in Islamic Republic of Iran. The method of this study was descriptive-correlation. The statistical populations were the managers of sport for all federation, experts of administration of physical education and faculty members. The researcher-made questionnaire consist of 25 variable was used to collecting the data that its validity and reliability was confirmed by factor analyzed method (IFA & CFA). Freidman test (p ≤ 0.05) was elected to hypothesis testing. Twenty one variables were selected and classified into five categories “volunteers committee, marketing, informing, general advertising and personal advertising”. A five-point Likert scale was used to determine items significance. The results showed that the most important variable was “informing by teachers about the importance of sport for all and volunteerism (4.32±0.80; mean±SD)” and the least important variable was “sending massage to people’s mail box (3.76±0.93)”. So, managers should find potential volunteer resources and recruit them to complete their human resources by informing, advertising and marketing

Abstract

The study of work ethics and job satisfaction have gained great significance
following the failures of major corporations and the West’s crisis. The purpose of
research was to analyze the relationship between work ethics and satisfaction
events volunteers in sport. The method that applied in research was descriptivecorrelation.
The research statistic population consists of all volunteers participating
in twelfth sport-cultural Olympiad of male and female students of universities all
around the country.133 persons were evaluated as the sample of the research. For
collecting data, They completed two questionnaires work ethic of Petty(1990), and
satisfaction of volunteer experiences of Mallaei et al (1388). Face and content
validity of the questionnaires were approved by experts. Reliability of the
questionnaire work ethic (Cronbach's alpha) and satisfaction of volunteer
experiences was α=0.82 and α=0.92, respectively. The results of the Pearson
correlation showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between
work ethic and Satisfaction Volunteers. The stepwise regression analysis showed
two aspects of work ethic (healthy relations and diligence at work) had positive and
significant role in anticipation the satisfaction of volunteers (p≤ 0/01). it is
recommended to athletic directors to increase satisfaction in sport volunteers by
providing ethic codes and developing work ethic principles

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of spiritual intelligence and identity styles on work involvement among sports volunteers in 13th Iranian universities sports cultural Olympiad. The method applied in this research was descriptive-correlational. The research statistic population was consisted of all volunteers participating in 13th Sports cultural Olympiad. The sample was equal with the population due to the restricted number of population (n=N). The data were gathered by three questionnaires: King's spiritual intelligence (2008), Berzonsky's identity styles (1992), and work involvement of Lodahl and Kejner (1965). Pearson correlation and structural equation modeling were used to analyze the data. The results showed that spiritual intelligence has a positive and direct effect on identity styles and identity styles has direct and significant effect on work involvement. Also, the research findings indicated that spiritual intelligence has positively and indirectly effect on work involvement by mediating of identity styles. Therefore, spiritual intelligence improvement can increase work involvement of sport volunteers through improvement in identity items; so if managers pay attention to these items at the time of attracting volunteers, they can design better training programs and increase volunteers’ dependence on the environment. In this way, they can change temporary and event volunteers to permanent and traditional volunteers.
