پوکی استخوان با کاهش موادمعدنی استخوان­‌ها مشخص شده و موجب شکنندگی استخوان­‌ها می­‌شود. هدف از پژوهش حاضر، تعیین اثر 8 هفته تمرین هوازی با محدودیت جریان خون و مکمل­‌گیری ویتامینD بر بعضی از نشانگرهای متابولیسم استخوانی زنان میانسال بود. در این پژوهش 30 زن با سن 7.44±42.76سال، قد 5.74±157.90سانتی ­متر، وزن 9.68±70.55کیلوگرم و توده­­‌بدنی 3.87±28.33 کیلوگرم بر متر مربع که برای تندرستی تمرین می‌کردند، در سه‌گروه 10 نفری شامل دوگروه تمرین هوازی با و بدون محدودیت جریان خون که هر دو مکمل ویتامینD مصرف می­‌کردند و یک­‌گروه کنترل بدون فعالیت با مصرف شبه دارو تقسیم شدند. گروه­‌های تجربی به مدت 8 هفته، هفته‌­ای 3 روز و روزی یک ساعت همراه با مصرف 400 واحد ویتامینD تمرین کردند. غلظت نشانگرهای کلسیم و فسفر به روش فتومتریک و آلکالین ­فسفات به روش DGKc (استاندارد انجمن بیوشیمی آلمان) پیش و پس از تمرینات با آزمایش سرم خون اندازه­‌گیری شدند. جهت بررسی توزیع داده‌­ها، از آزمون کولموگروف اسمیرنوف  و برای بررسی میزان تاثیر­گذاری تمرینات و تفاوت میان گروه­‌ها از تحلیل واریانس با اندازه‌­های تکراری استفاده شد. تاثیر تمرینات­ هوازی با محدودیت جریان­ خون و مصرف ویتامینD بر آلکالین­ فسفاتاز و فسفر، با وجود تاثیرات خوب، معنی­­دار نبوده، اما بر کلسیم معنی­‌دار بوده است. همچنین مقایسه میان‌­­گروهی نشان داد تفاوت میان آلکالین ­فسفات و فسفر گروه‌ها غیرمعنی­‌دار، اما در کلسیم به نفع گروه محدودیت جریان خون معنی­‌دار بوده است. هر دو روش تمرین هوازی با و بدون محدودیت جریان­ خون با مکمل‌گیری ویتامینD تاثیرات مفیدی بر املاح استخوانی داشته و از روند پوکی استخوان در بانوان جلوگیری نموده اما، روش با محدودیت جریان خون تاثیر بیش­تری دارد.
