بیماری پوسیدگی ذغالی ناشی از قارچ  phaseolina Macrophomina یکی از مهم‌ترین بیماری‌های خاکزاد گیاهان مختلف از جمله لوبیا است که همه ساله خسارت قابل‌توجهی به این محصول وارد می‌سازد. مهار زیستی بیماری پوسیدگی ذغالی اهمیت زیادی دارد زیرا کنترل شیمیایی این بیماری علاوه بر تاثیر سو بر محیط زیست‌، میکروفلور و حاصل‌خیزی خاک، مشکل و گاه بی‌تاثیر است. سودوموناس‌های فلورسنت با تولید و ترشح آنتی‌بیوتیک‌ها، آنزیم‌ها، سیدروفورها و برخی هورمون‌های گیاهی، علاوه بر محدود کردن یا توقف رشد بیمارگرهای گیاهی به ویژه قارچ‌ها، سبب افزایش رشد گیاهان نیز می‌شوند. در این پژوهش به ‌منظور مهار زیستی قارچ M. phaseolina، در تابستان 1394 نمونه‌برداری از مزارع لوبیای آلوده در شهرستان خرم‌آباد (لرستان، ایران) صورت گرفت. پس از شناسایی جدایه‌های قارچی، آزمون بیماری­زایی در گلخانه انجام و جدایه بیمارگر با قدرت بیماری­زایی بیش­تر جهت ادامه آزمایش‌ها انتخاب شد. توانایی آنتاگونیستی هشت سویه بیوکنترل Pseudomonas fluorescens که توانایي مهارزیستی آن­ها در مطالعات قبلی به اثبات رسیده بود، در مقابل قارچ  phaseolina M. در شرایط آزمایشگاهی مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. بازدارندگی از رشد M. phaseolina، با استفاده از آزمون کشت متقابل، اثر ترکیبات خارج سلولی باکتری و ترکیبات فرار ضدقارچی تولید شده توسط سویه‌ها ارزیابی شد. سویه P. fluorescens UTPf125 که در تمامی آزمایش‌ها بیش ­ترین بازدارندگی از رشد میسلیومی بیمارگر را نشان داد به‌ عنوان سویه منتخب در آزمون‌های گلخانه‌ای مورد استفاده قرار گرفت و سبب کاهش معنی‌دار (50 درصد) میزان بیماری و افزایش معنی‌دار وزن تر و خشک بوته‌ها شد. محتوای فنل کل در روزهای 1، 3، 5، 7 و 9 پس از مایه‌زنی با بیمارگر اندازه‌گیری شد. نتایج نشان داد که میزان فنل کل در روزهای سوم و پنجم پس از مایه‌زنی به بیش­ترین مقدار خود رسید، سپس در روزهای هفتم و نهم کاهش یافت.
