Abstract

The subject of microeconomics is the behavior of firms, individuals and government. According to production theory, rational behavior of the firms, leads to profit maximization. So, one of the most important rational questions in production theory, is the determination of a suitable location of the firm. In the last two decades, several theories have been proposed to analyze the factors affecting the location of economic activities. These theories emphasize on many factors that can be summarized in two categories: factors affecting supply and demand. The aim of this article is to determine and analyze factors affecting the location of electronics industry in Iran. In this regard, 25 factors were identified. Whoever, this number of explanatory variables decreases the number of degree of freedom in a Logit and/or Probit model dramatically. So, the principal component analysis was used to decrease the number of LHS variables. Results show that the industrial development and the creation and maintenance of facilities have important effects on the location of electronics industry in different provinces of Iran. Also due to high proportion of the value to the weight of the final products or the high mobility and tradability of electronics industry products, local and surrounding area‘s income have negative impacts on the industry location.

Abstract

In this research, the factors affecting assets quality in banking system of Iran and some implications for creating appropriate buffers of liquidity and non-performing loans in bank assets management has been investigated. In order to that, statistical data related to macroeconomic variables and financial statements of 30 banks from 2006 to 2016 have been used in the framework of a dynamic panel specification. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between inflation rate, domestic gross production growth rate, bank share of total revenues, market Structure and bank liquidity with asset quality, but the growth rate of facilities and special and general reserves for non-performing loans have no significant effect on asset quality. Thus, the framework and the amount of special and general reserves for non-performing loans (unlike the liquidity buffer) failed to provide the necessary buffer to improve the quality of bank assets; so, one of the most important reasons for the persistent aggravation and lack of management of the volume of non-performing loans in banking system is dysfunctional and non-observance of the law in the maintenance of special and general reserves. The main requirement for correcting these conditions is to closely monitor the volume of reserves before refinancing and double overdraft from the central bank and other banks and credit institutions.

Abstract

In this research, the behavior of the international Islamic capital market in the three periods before Corona, Corona and after Corona, as well as multi-fractal analysis is carried out on Sharia-compliant stock markets. Multifractal Detrended Fluctuation Analysis (MFDFA), Multiscale multi-fractal analysis (MMA), are the methods used in this study. We used the Dow Jones index data from 2011 to 2022, the variables are the emerging countries, developed countries, Asia Pacific, America and Europe. The research results shows that Corona has reduced the efficiency of all variables. In all periods, the variables are ineffective, except for the Asia variable in the pre-Corona period, developed countries and America in the post-Corona period. Also, all the variables had persistency in the Corona period. But in the pre-corona period, all the variables had an anti-persistency behavior, except for the variable of emerging countries, which had a persistence behavior, and the variable of Asia, which had a random behavior. In the post-corona period, all the variables have had an anti-persistence behavior, except for the variable of developed countries, which has had a random behavior.
