با توجه به اهمیت توانبخشی در کودکان دارای ناتوانایی­های یادگیری خاص، هدف پژوهش حاضر تعیین تاثیر برنامه­ی ورزش مغزی بر سرکوبی نسبت امواج تتا برآلفا و حافظه­ی فعال دانش­آموزان 8 تا 12 ساله­ی دارای مشکل خواندن یا مشکل نوشتن بود. این پژوهش از نوع مطالعات نیمه­ تجربی با طرح پیش آزمون-پس آزمون با گروه کنترل بود. جامعه­ی آماری این پژوهش شامل تمامی کودکان دختر و پسر دارای مشکل خواندن یا مشکل نوشتن بود که از طرف مدارس، به مراکز ویژه­ی اختلالات یادگیری شهر کرمانشاه ارجاع شده بودند. روش نمونه گیری پژوهش از نوع نمونه گیری در دسترس بود. به این منظور، با توجه به معیارهای ورود و خروج، 20 دانش­آموز 8 تا 12 ساله انتخاب و به صورت تصادفی در دو گروه 10 نفره قرار گرفتند. گروه آزمایشی، مداخله­ی ورزش مغزی را به مدت 20 جلسۀ 20 دقیقه ای در طول 10 هفته دریافت کردند. به منظور ثبت امواج مغزی شرکت کنندگان از دستگاه نوروفیدبک دو کاناله و جهت سنجش حافظه­ی فعال آن­ها از نرم افزار حافظه­ی وکسلر استفاده شد. برای تجزیه و تحلیل داده­ها از آزمون تحلیل کواریانس یک راهه­ی تک متغیری و چند متغیری با استفاده از نرم افزار  SPSS نسخه­ی 26 در سطح معناداری 5/0 استفاده شد. نتایج نشان داد که نسبت امواج تتا بر آلفا در گروه آزمایش به طور معناداری کاهش و فراخنای حافظه­ی فعال در گروه آزمایش نسبت به گروه کنترل به طور معناداری افزایش داشته است(P<0/05). یافته­های این پژوهش نشان داد که ورزش مغزی می­تواند موجب سرکوب معنادار نسبت امواج تتا بر آلفا و همچنین بهبود حافظه­ی فعال در این کودکان شود. یافته­های این پژوهش موید شواهد عصب شناختی برای تاثیر مثبت مداخله­ی ورزش مغزی بر تعدیل امواج مغزی و  حافظه­ی فعال در کودکان با مشکل خواندن یا مشکل نوشتن است.
