منطقه گلستانکوه با مساحت تقریبی 130 هزار هکتار، در استان اصفهان واقع شده است. مطالعه حاضر با هدف شناسایی فلور این منطقه انجام شد. در مجموع، 620 آرایه متعلق به 303 سرده و 61 تیره شناسایی گردید. کاسنیان با 104 گونه بزرگ‌ترین تیره گیاهی منطقه بود و بعد از آن تیرههای باقلائیان، نعنائیان و کلمیان به ترتیب با 63، 60 و 59 گونه رتبه‌های بعدی را کسب کردند. سرده گون نیز با 33 گونه بزرگ‌ترین سرده است. فراوان‌ترین شکل زیستی در منطقه همیکریپتوفیتها با 41 درصد و تروفیتها با 34 درصد هستند، از نظر پراکندگی جغرافیایی، 48 درصد (300 گونه)، به ناحیه ایرانو-تورانی تعلّق دارند. همچنین از بین گیاهان شناسایی شده در منطقه، تعداد 130 گونه (21 درصد) انحصاری ایران محسوب میشوند. با توجه به تنوع گونهای بالا در منطقه گلستانکوه، استفاده از راهکارهای مناسب برای حفاظت از آن‌ها بسیار ضروری به نظر می‌رسد.
