Abstract
The present study was intended to study the effectiveness of Cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in the quality of life in the older people suffering from Parkinson disease. The methodology of the study was a semi- experimental with pre- test and post- test design along with a control group selected from the population of old people suffering from Parkinson disease. Sample of the study included 40 individuals who were selected by availability sampling method then they were randomly divided into the experimental and control groups. The experimental group underwent the CBTO treatment for 10 sessions. Research tools of the study included demographic questionnaire and quality of life scale, prepared by WHO, that were administered in two stages, i.e. pre-test and post- test. Research findings showed that cognitive-behavioral therapy had an effect on the quality of life including physical health, psychological health, and social relations, but no significant difference was seen in the dimension of the life environment. Thus, it was concluded that it was necessary to make efforts to enhance the quality of life for the old people suffering from Parkinson disease and that CBTO treatment may cause the improvement of the quality of life in patients with Parkinson disease. Therefore, this method may be employed in the hospitals and asylums as a complementary treatment. Consequently, it is recommended to present cognitive- Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with other medical interventions as a part of treatment and medical care for the patients suffering from Parkinson disease.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is investigating on the role of spirituality and awareness and attitude towards disease in the feeling of suffering in patients with AIDS/HIV. In this descriptive cross-sectional study, 43 patients had selected of all patients with AIDS/HIV in cities of Zahedan, Iranshahr and Saravan in Sistan&Baluchestan province, by available sampling. The variables were measured by using the Spirituality Questionnaire and Scale of Experience and Perception of Suffering and Questionnaire Awareness and Attitudes towards Disease. Data were analyzed by using Pearson’s correlation coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression. Results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between physical suffering and attitudes towards disease. Psychological suffering has a negative significant relationship with spirituality and has a positive significant with attitude towards disease. Spiritual/existential suffering has a positive significant relationship with spirituality, and a negative significant relationship with attitudes towards disease. The results of stepwise regression showed that psychological suffering is predicted by attitudes towards disease. Also self-awareness and attitudes towards disease is significant predictorfor spiritual/existential suffering. According to these results, it can be deduced that spirituality and attitudes towards disease have impact on feeling of suffering in patients with AIDS/HIV. Also spirituality and positive attitudes towards disease as coping styles can be used to reduce feelings of suffering in patients with AIDS/HIV.

Abstract
Psychiatric disorders exhist in patients with chronic pulmonary diseases. Psychotherapy of these patients, is less considered and the goal of this study was trying to evaluate the effectiveness of psychotherapy based on mindfulness (which includes facilitation of the experience of stressful physical diseases) on reducing of dysfunctional attitudes and distress tolerance in sample patients.
This applied study conducted on 30 chronic pulmonary patients (control and experimental group) hospitalized in Massih Daneshvari Hospital in the year 2013-2014. Just the experimental group received the psychological intervention of mindfulness based on cognitive therapy in 13 sessions of two hours. Members of both groups responded to questionnaires of demographic information, distress tolerance and dysfunctional attitudes before and after the intervention. Data analyzed by SPSS-21 statistical software and co-variance analysis.
Dysfunctional attitudes, tolerability and aversiveness, tendency to attract the attention, evaluation and potentiality of acceptance changed more in experimental group. Emotion regulation and avoidance changed more in control group.
Considering the effectiveness of mindfulness based on cognitive therapy, it is important to pay attention to psychological problems
of chronic physical patients. Medical treatment does not provide mental and physical readiness in patients to confront with such difficult situations, alone. Thus, overall attention of treatment team to patients is necessary.

Abstract
Although in the literature of the study the concepts of health and disease have been considered deeply dependent on each other, it seems that to differentiate them , indexes are needed which make clear both similar cultural characteristics and different cultural characteristics .In this study, an attempt was made to provide a new description of the classification of the mental health and disease and to investigate the role of different feelings in differentiating health from disease in Iranian collectivistic culture and Swedish individualistic culture. In this study, of a group of Iranian students (n=296) and of a group of Swedish students (n=310), a sample of students were selected. Results of the study showed that in the Iranian society there was a relationship between the mental health and balance affect while in the Swedish society there was a more significant relationship between the mental health and positive affect. It seems that in the typology of healthy and sick people there are four flourishing, languishing, trouble and symptomatic groups and that the positive and balance affects can differentiate these groups.

Abstract
In many of heart patients coronary artery bypass surgery is the best choice for treatment. Two types of techniques are used in this type of surgery. One of them is on-pomp surgery and another is off-pomp surgery. Based on some studies, patients experience some complications after surgery, including: depression, anxiety and decreases in cognitive performance. In this study, the patients psychological conditions and memory functioning which is one of cognitive function are described before and after surgery in two groups. Descriptive- comparative method is used. Total of 62 patients participated in this study, convenience Sampling is used. At the first patients one day before and then two months after surgery were evaluated. Depression, anxiety and stress scale (DASS-21) and also, Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS-R) are used. Results showed that patients in both groups had similar preoperative psychological conditions. The groups showed differences in memory function, on-pomp group showed significant decreases in memory functioning after surgery. According to these results, it seems temporary heart failure and use of cardiopulmonary pump device during surgery, leading to a decline in cognitive function. Because of these, should consider some interventions to improve memory function and psychological conditions of cardiac patients that undergoing cardiovascular surgery. |

Abstract
The aim of this study was to present an exploratory model to express the relationships between a set of factors including personality factors, attachment styles, control source, coping strategies and perceived stress and disease perception in patients with hemophilia, emphasizing the mediating role of social exchange styles. The present study is a correlational study based on path analysis. In order to conduct the study, 450 patients from the Hemophilia Support Centre in Isfahan were randomly selected. The instruments used in this study included the Neo Five Personality Factor Questionnaire, the Hazen and Shaver Attachment Styles Scale, the Rutter Control Scale, the Andler and Parker Stress Coping Questionnaire, the Cohen Perceived Stress Questionnaire, the Disease Perception Questionnaire and the Libman Social Learning Exchange Questionnaire. The results indicated a linear relationship between a group of factors such as neurotic personality traits, responsibility, extraversion and flexibility, two coping styles (emotion-oriented, problem-oriented and avoidance) and a secure attachment style and disease perception. The results also showed personality traits (neuroticism, extraversion, pleasantness, flexibility and responsibility), coping styles (avoidance and emotion-oriented), attachment style (safe and unsafe ambivalent) and source of control are related to the perception of disease through the mediating role of social exchange style fairness. Therefore, in order to provide measures to improve the perception of patients with hemophilia, it is necessary to pay special attention to personality traits, coping styles, attachment style, source of control and perceived stress in addition to fair social exchange styles.

Abstract
One of the main challenges in treating chronic disease is patients' adherence to treatment instructions. The aim of this study was to determine the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between attachment styles and treatment adherence in patients with chronic disease. The research design was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population included all patients with diabetes and hypertension in Guilan province in 2020. A sample of 399 people were selected by purposive sampling method. Data were collected through the Collins and Reed's Adult Attachment Scale (RAAS), the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC), and the Modanloo Adherence to Treatment Questionnaire. Data processing was performed using path analysis technique in AMOS-24 software setting and bootstrap analysis in Macro program of Preacher and Hayes (2008). There was a significant direct relationship between adherence to treatment with resilience and secure and avoidant attachment style(p<0.01). However, there was no relationship between adherence to treatment and ambivalent attachment(p>0.05). The fit of the mediator model was improved after deleting the two non-significant paths and it was obtained a good fit by releasing the covariance error between the ambivalent attachment and the secure and avoidant attachment (CFI=1.00, RMSEA=0.086). Bootstrap analysis revealed that resilience mediates the associations between endogenous and exogenous variables. The coefficient of determination in the final model demonstrated that all exogenous and mediating variables predict 21% of the changes in the adherence to treatment. Resilience and attachment pattern are important in patients' adherence to the treatment procedure and it is suggested that skills and strategies for coping with the disease stress and increasing the capacity to adaptive coping to life-threatening conditions be included in the treatment program of patients with chronic diseases. |

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to design, make and evaluate the psychometric characteristics of a pain metaphorical perception questionnaire in Persian-speaking who suffer from chronic diseases. The method of this study was descriptive and psychometric and it was a survey type of research. At first, based on the cognitive analysis of Raiisi's pain metaphors (2021), nine metaphorical mappings were extracted, which were respectively object, causality, path and direction, human, place, taste, container, force, and circle. Based on obtained source domains, a questionnaire with 25 questions was created using a Likert response scale. The content validity of questions was evaluated by three cognitive linguistics experts, two health psychologists, three physicians, and two psychometric experts. No questions were found to be irrelevant or inappropriate. At last, the questionnaire was completed availability and voluntarily by 250 monolingual Persian-speaking patients with chronic diseases in 2022-2023. The results indicated that there was a reliability coefficient by using Cronbach's alpha for the whole questionnaire and its components. Moreover, the result of the factor analysis showed that this questionnaire consists of four factors including object, force, human, and causality, which explain 24.66% of the total variance of the factors. Consequently, the questionnaire on pain metaphorical perception has good validity and reliability for Persian speakers
